Northern Angled Lat Pulldown Bar – Narrow Grip

A bar shaped for the pull, not just the grip.

The steep, narrow angled arms of this lat pulldown bar bring your hands in close and low through the movement, shifting more of the work onto the inner lats and mid-back. Built for anyone running cable work at home who wants to train the back from a different angle.

Built for Close-Grip Pulling

Enhance your lat workouts with our narrow-grip angled lat pulldown bar. Clip the bar onto a cable machine or pulley system and add narrow-grip pulldowns and rowing variations to your back sessions.

Key Features:

Steep Narrow Angle

The design brings the grip closer to your body and low through pulls, shifting the focus onto the inner lats and mid-back with greater control.

Want to compare pulling positions? The Angled Lat Pulldown Bar – Wide Grip gives you a broader hand position for wide-grip pulldowns.

Contoured Paddle Grips

Flat, angled grip pads provide a secure and comfortable hold, giving you better control and stability through every rep.

Quick-Clip Attachment

Single carabiner clip at the center for fast hook-up and swap-out between exercises, making it easy to attach to cable machines or pulley systems.

Matte Black Finish

Sturdy construction coated in a matte black finish, branded Northern.

Compact & Versatile

This lat pulldown bar is only 30cm wide and 2.4kg. Easy to handle, easy to store and ready when you need a tighter pulling angle. Works with any standard cable machine or pulley setup, perfect for commercial gyms, strength training gyms and fitness studios.

We also supply other home gym equipment and cable machine attachments anywhere in the UK for your back training.

Train your Back with Narrow Grip Angled Lat Pulldown Bar

The Narrow Grip Angled Lat Pulldown Bar is engineered specifically to maximise your range of motion, relieve wrist strain, and lock your lats into maximum tension on every single rep.

One bar, a tighter angle, a different stimulus. Clip in, pull, and let the shape do the work.

A tighter angle with our narrow-grip angled lat pulldown bar.  Another way to build your back.

How to Use the Angled Lat Pulldown Bar - Narrow Grip for Maximum Results

Set the Pulley High

Attach the angled lat pulldown bar securely to the upper pulley. Keep your legs in place without resisting your movements while adjusting the knee pad.

Keep Your Torso Stable

Sit upright with your chest lifted and lean back slightly. Brace your core to stop the weight from pulling your body forwards.

Drive Through Your Elbows

Make sure to hold the paddle grips firmly and pull the bar towards your upper chest. Pull with your hands but also focus on driving your elbows down.

Control the Return

Allow your arms to extend gradually until you feel a controlled stretch through the lats. Do not let the weight stack pull the bar back up or slam between reps.

Choose a Manageable Load

Use a resistance that lets you complete every repetition through a comfortable range of motion. Increase the weight gradually once you can keep your torso steady and control both parts of the lift.

Robert ★★★★★

The angled arms keep my wrists in a much more comfortable position than a straight bar, and I can really feel my lats engaging through the whole pull. It’s solidly built and the knurling is just grippy enough without tearing up my hands.

Christopher Q. ★★★★★

That narrow grip really lets me feel the lats working through the whole pull, and the steep angle keeps my elbows tucked tight. My back feels more engaged than with a standard v-bar, which surprised me. It's quickly become my go-to for pulldowns.

James ★★★★★

The steep angle really changes the feel of lat pulldowns—my lats are far more engaged than with a straight bar. Finally got that close-grip pump I've been chasing.
